This is a genuine BMW reversing light switch, part number 23 14 7 506 637. The number stamped on the part is 23147506637; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7506637. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Electrical mounting parts. It supersedes the older number 1434584, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7524811.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
