This is a genuine BMW shaft seal with lock ring, part number 33 10 7 505 605. The number stamped on the part is 33107505605; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7505605. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Rear-axle-drive parts. It supersedes the older numbers 0152629 and 1214444, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (330d, 1999–2005), with the M57 or M57N engines.

BMW draws it on 46 diagrams, among them Differential-Drive/Output (33_1021) and Final drive, gasket set (33_1034). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 77 g (0.2 lb).
