What's Included

Sold as part of these kits

This is a genuine BMW torx-bolt with washer, part number 07 12 9 905 423. The number stamped on the part is 07129905423; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9905423. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 7148829, 9902342, 9902878 and 9906027, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i and 318ti, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (316i, 316i 1.6, 316i 1.9, 316ti, 318d, 318i, 318td and 2 others, 1997–2004), with the M43, M47N, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.

BMW draws it on 72 diagrams, among them Wheel Casing (11_1116) and Timing Case (11_2051). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Set Case Holder (8534411).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
