Genuine BMW part 72 11 7 001 709: Upper belt rear. The number stamped on the part is 72117001709; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7001709. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Parts and accessories, body parts. It supersedes the older number 7138684, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 compact (316ti, 318td, 318ti, 320td and 325ti, 2001–2004), with the M47N, M54, N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.

BMW draws it on the Safety belt rear (72_0400) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 770 g (1.7 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
