Genuine BMW part 12 14 7 833 150: Basic control unit DME (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 12147833150; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7833150. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH Basic control unit DME”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1406611, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (M3, 1996–1999), with the S50 engine.

BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Basic control unit DME (12_1994) and Basic control unit DME (12_1996). It weighs about 600 g (1.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
