This is a genuine BMW flat spring contact MDK4 2.8 with cable, part number 12 52 0 007 254. The number stamped on the part is 12520007254; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0007254. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older numbers 0141128 and 1719515, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 17 diagrams, among them Laminated contacts/spring contacts (12_1043) and Laminated contacts/spring contacts (12_1150). It weighs about 4 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Repair kit (0492922).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
