Genuine BMW part 51 12 2 253 200: Trim panel. The number stamped on the part is 51122253200; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2253200. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Door, rear. It supersedes the older number 2235496, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (318i, 320i and 323i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Retrofit, M aerodynamic kit (03_0774) and Trailer coupling (03_1068). It weighs about 1.2 kg (2.7 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
