Control unit DME programmed (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 12 14 1 407 136. The number stamped on the part is 12141407136; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1407136. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1406465, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (M3, 1996–1999), with the S52 engine.
