This is a genuine BMW control unit DME programmed (exchange unit), part number 12 14 1 427 283. The number stamped on the part is 12141427283; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1427283. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1744505, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1430077.

It fits the E36 sedan (325i, 1992–1995), with the M50 engine.

BMW draws it on the Control unit DME, programmed (12_1993) diagram. It weighs about 590 g (1.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
