This is a genuine BMW hex nut, part number 07 12 9 902 975. The number stamped on the part is 07129902975; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9902975. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 9902388 and 9946353, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan (318i, 1992–1998), with the M40 engine — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 31 diagrams, among them Fuel injection system/Injection valve (13_0366) and Intake manifold, air collector lower part (11_2670). It also comes in BMW kits Kit, licence plate support (0301656) and Kit, licence plate support (0301657) and 1 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
