Hex nut — a genuine BMW part, number 07 12 9 904 869. The number stamped on the part is 07129904869; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9904869. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 9903094 and 9904000, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9906887.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 74 diagrams, among them Intake manifold system (11_3194) and Mounting Parts F Intake Manifold System (11_3387). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
