The number stamped on the part is 07129904473; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9904473. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 1091565, 1092200, 9900580 and 9964670, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (316i, 316ti, 318i and 318ti, 2004), with the N45 or N46 engines.
BMW draws it on 10 diagrams, among them Drive Shaft-Cent.Bearing-Universal Joint (26_0129) and Drive shaft, front, single parts (26_0175). BMW's catalog calls for six of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
