This is a genuine BMW plug housing, part number 12 52 1 706 091. The number stamped on the part is 12521706091; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1706091. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older numbers 0492990 and 1706121, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 320i, 325i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M50 or S50 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Intake manifold (11_2459) and Int.Manif.Syst.-Air Accumulator (11_2548). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Plug housing (0492990).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
