Genuine BMW part 12 14 7 522 797: Control unit DME programmed (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 12147522797; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7522797. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7522617, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7530880.

It fits the E46 convertible (318i, 2001–2003), with the N42 engine.

BMW draws it on the Repl.control unit DME programmed / EK924 (12_1134) diagram.
