Control unit DME programmed (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 12 14 7 531 151. The number stamped on the part is 12147531151; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7531151. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7529588, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7529957.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
