Genuine BMW part 12 14 7 535 643: Control unit DME programmed (exchange unit). The number stamped on the part is 12147535643; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7535643. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7530856, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (318i and 318ti, 2001–2003), with the N42 engine.

BMW draws it on the Repl.control unit DME programmed / EK924 (12_1134) diagram. It weighs about 494 g (1.1 lb).
