Control unit DME programmed (exchange unit) — a genuine BMW part, number 12 14 7 837 799. The number stamped on the part is 12147837799; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7837799. BMW's catalog calls it “EXCH control unit DME programmed”. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 7836473, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7842347.

It fits the E46 coupe and convertible (M3, 2001–2006), with the S54 engine.
